Dublin: it's good to know
Dublin, is the capital city of the Republic of Ireland, and is situated on Ireland’s east coast at the mouth of the River Liffey. Founded by Vikings during the 9th Century, Dublin of today is a thriving cultural centre and boasts a strong literary and cultural legacy with many greats of Irish literature such as Joyce and Wilde closely associated with the city. Dublin's welcome is legendary and Dublin has been voted Europe's fourth most popular city break destination.
From cobbled side streets and historical buildings to modern architecture and a nightlife scene second to none, Dublin is an experience not to be missed. The city's atmosphere is vibrant, reflecting its rich cultural history and strong traditions with an increasingly diverse and international flavour. In Dublin you will experience a "Céad míle fáilte", or a hundred thousand welcomes.

Dublin Airport (DUB) is an approximate 30 minutes from the city centre. You have three modes of transport available to you: 1. Take a taxi from the arrivals area to your end destination in the city, this will cost you in the region of €35. All taxis take standard debit and credit cards. 2. Take a direct airport bus services. Depening on your end point there are a number of options available and these will cost you in the region of €9 to €13:50 one way. Again this will take approxiamtely 30 minutes. 3. Use Dublin bus local bus services Route 16. This will cost you just €2 but may take upwards of an hour journey time. |

Our meeting venue for the main conference is The Trinity Business School 182 Pearse St, Dublin 2, D02 F6N2. This is the site for all academic, Plenary, Exhibition and non social events. |

The FEHDD Meeting will be held at the Tangent Auditorium, Trinity Business School. If you are attending FEHDD you will get your meeting badge here upon arrival on Tuesday for the entire conference. The same delegate badge will be used throughout the week. |
