ADEE President Professor Brian O'Connell and the ADEE Board invite you to join us as we celebrate ADEE milestone 50th Anniversary.

We have an evening of Irish music, song and dance planned so make sure you bring your dancing shoes.

Brian O’Connell

Professor of Restorative Dentistry
Trinity College Dublin

Brian O’Connell is currently Dean of Health Sciences at Trinity College, Dublin, with a special interest biomedical education. He co-leads the oral health component of the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA), in addition to research on treatment outcomes and the use of new technology in oral health care. Professor O’Connell is a core member of the European Platform for Better Oral Health, and President-Elect of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR).

Blánaid Daly

Dublin Dental University Hospital, Trinity College Dublin

Blánaid Daly is Professor of Special Care Dentistry and current Dean at the School of Dental Science, Trinity College Dublin (TCD) within the Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH). After qualifying as a dentist from TCD, and prior to working at the Dublin Dental University Hospital, Blánaid worked in the public/community dental services. Blánaid joined the Dental School at King's College London (KCL) and studied for a PhD in Dental Public Health (DPH). For the last thirty years, Blánaid combined her academic interest in DPH with the clinical dental specialty of Special Care Dentistry, when returning to Trinity in 2016 as Professor of Special Care Dentistry. In 2020 Blánaid was appointed to the Lancet Commission on Global Oral Health Inequalities and was joint winner of the Aubrey Sheiham award for distinguished research in dental public health, from the International Association of Dental Research (IADR). Prof Blánaid Daly was appointed Dean of Dental Affairs and Head of School at the School of Dental Science January 2022. Blánaid’s overarching theme of research interest is in the reduction of oral health inequalities for people living with disabilities and vulnerable groups.

Jörg Vogel has served as Vice President International Sales of former Sirona since 2004 with responsibilities for the markets in Asia/Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, CIS, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Since 2010 he has concentrated on the Asian Pacific and Latin American market and since 2015 on the International Special Clinic Sales worldwide.

Between 1992 and 1997, Jörg Vogel was COO at Draeger Medical Japan and continued his operations in 1998 as COO in Singapore for the Asian Pacific region.

Between 1999 and 2002 Jörg Vogel took over the responsibilities for Draeger Medical as Regional Manager for the whole Asian Pacific region and relocated back to his home town Lübeck. In 2003 Jörg Vogel took over the responsibilities of the Division Manager IT at Draeger Medical in Boston/USA.

Jörg Vogel holds a Diploma of Industrial engineering from University in Hamburg.
