Call for expressions of interest: ADEE President Elect

ADEE Issues Call for expressions of interest in the role of President Elect 

At the end of 2020 a number of vacancies will become vacant within the ADEE Executive Committee. During 2020 the nominations committee wish to make recommendation for appointments to these various positions in a structured way.  This process is now commencing with the issue for a call for expressions of interest in the role of president elect 2021 (ADEE president  2022-2023). 

A detailed role and person specific document summarising skills, experience and attributes is available below.  It also summarises the application process as:

The application process is through self-nomination supported by two references.  In making a self-nomination the candidate must:

  1. Include an abridged CV (4 sides A4) highlighting their career and contribution to the advancement of dental education
  2. Submit supporting references one on their academic and research merit the second on personal character and standing
  3. Submit a vision for their presidency of ADEE (no more than 500 words), highlight the key areas they wish to focus on during their two year term

Applicants are recommended to consider the points made within the person specification when formulating their application for the post of President of ADEE

In addition to evaluation of the submission, in making their recommendation for shortlisting of candidates to the ADEE Executive the nominations committee will be cognisant of:

  1. Gender balance
  2. Regional balance
  3. Expertise and European standing and recognition  

Informal queries should be addressed to the ADEE administrator who will connect the interested party with the nominations committee to have and informal conversation to explore the role.

The closing date for receipt of initial self nominations is March 15th at 13:00 Irish time.
