I graduated with my Bachelor in Dental Surgery from University of Wales College of Medicine (Cardiff) in 1992. I developed and ran my own dental practice for 18years, supporting the south Wales VT scheme and developing a multi-disciplinary team. I wanted to help develop the dentists of the future and returned part time to the dental hospital in Cardiff 2009, moving to full time as a Senior Clinical Teacher. I am the Clinical academic lead for the undergraduate restorative clinics (overseeing The BDS clinical year 3-5, and as topic lead for the Crown course developing the students’ clinical skills in advanced restorative practices. I developed an interest in digital dentistry integration in 2016; I am co-leading digital and 3D solutions for Undergraduate preclinical practical solutions with sustainability at the heart. As the Lead for the ADEE SIG on 3D scanning & printing technologies to enhance teaching, the forum has developed resources for teaching and designs and welcomes members and collaboration to the SIG.
